Meijer's Team Gives Program is dedicated to empowering organizations that make a positive impact in the communities they serve, and we are honored to have been recognized as one of the recipients. Meijer's Team Gives Program has impacted nearly 1,700 nonprofits in its first three years, and we are thrilled to be a part of this group. This grant will allow us to further our mission of providing support, resources, and education to individuals and families affected by diabetes in Michigan. Founders, Peri and Evan Kramer, began their fight for a cure for diabetes after their son, Tyler, was diagnosed in 2005. Since then, they have made it their personal mission to fight diabetes and work tirelessly to help their son and the millions of others affected by diabetes. Unfortunately, there are many more stories of families like the Kramer’s who have children diagnosed with diabetes. As of today, there is no known cure for Type 1 diabetes.
